As chairman, president and CEO of CITGO Petroleum Corporation I would like to personally extend an invitation to apply for the opportunity to do business with us.

We value our business relationships and strive to ensure our supplier base reflects the communities in which we operate. We believe potential suppliers should be considered not by sheer strength in numbers, but on the basis of merit; and we provide them equal opportunity to build their bottom line via our CITGO Supplier Diversity Initiative.

The CITGO Supplier Diversity Initiative is focused on increasing our partnerships with minority- and woman-owned businesses. This effort is similar to sustained development initiatives by our parent company, Petróleos de Venezuela S.A. (PDVSA), in Venezuela.

I am pleased with our inclusive efforts, which are an integral part of our business model. Our Supplier Diversity Initiative is the cornerstone for building the bottom line of well deserving suppliers and just one more way that CITGO is there at every turn.
